Dehradun: A man committed suicide in Uttarakhand after being separated from his wife. The police have handed over the body to the family members after conducting post mortem. Market outpost in-charge Vivek Rathi said that a complaint of the suicide of a person was received in Shanti Vihar. When the police went to the spot, they saw a man hanging from the snare. He was taken to the hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Manish Chaudhary, a resident of Kanwali. He lived in a rented house with his brother-in-law in Shanti Vihar (near ISBT). Manish was a contract driver in Pitkul since 2015. Manish was married to a girl named Swati in 2018 but due to a family dispute, she was living in her house for about a year. The two have a 2-year-old daughter named Tukku. He was very worried since his wife left. Police have also recovered a suicide note from his pocket. In it, he wrote, "Swati, I love you very much. You may be living apart, but I can't live without you. So now it's time for me to leave. Don't scold Tukku after I'm gone.''

Manish further wrote that no blame should be given to Swati for his death. It's not her fault. The outpost in-charge said Manish's body has been handed over to the family after conducting a post-mortem. This incident has spread the mourning in the house.
