Khargone: Even though the situation becomes normal after the violence, its marks remain. Similar is the situation of the victims of violence in Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. There was violence during the Ram Navami procession here. Now the situation in the city has returned to normal, but it has become unusual for the lives of those who live in the riot-affected areas. Because the reasons are not one, but many. First of all, in Sanjay Nagar of Khargone town, the rioters burnt the houses of the people here and burnt them to ashes. But the sting of the riot was not limited to this. Now the marriages of the persons living here are not even taking place. People say that they will not marry their daughters in riot-hit areas.

Mahesh Patil is a local resident here. After two months, his son Nanuram Patil was to get married. All preparations were made. Arrangements were made from the tent to the band. But in the meantime, the riots dissolved in colour. After the riots, the bride's side refused to marry their daughter in the riot-hit area. Mahesh Patil said that his son's marriage was fixed six months ago. Marriage was to take place after 2 months, but now they are saying that such incidents keep happening here, so she will not marry her daughter.

Mahesh Patil said that due to the violence, the rioters looted my house. My son's marriage was cancelled. The son's in-laws saw that it was not possible to stay here, because there are riots and stone-pelting. He says that the wedding will happen only when we buy a plot elsewhere. This is not the first incident. There are some cases where daughters are not even getting married. Lakshmi, who lives in the violence-hit area, says that on the day of Ram Navami, there was violence in our village. We tried to stop the rioters, but they did not stop. They robbed our house. Wedding gifts and other items were kept in the house. All the relatives had come here for my marriage but now after the violence, everything has stopped. The marriage has been postponed. Laxmi said that the rioters looted many houses and also set several houses on fire. This incident has ruined the work of many people.
