Patna: In Danapur, Bihar, miscreants shot dead the leader of the ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) and the vice-chairman of Danapur Municipal Council. The criminals shot Danapur Municipal Council vice-president Deepak Mehta outside his house in Nasriganj. Deepak Mehta was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment where he died during treatment.
According to the news received, Janata Dal United leader Deepak Mehta lived in Nasriganj, Danapur. He was in front of his house when some criminals who came suddenly started firing at him. Deepak Mehta collapsed after being shot. Hearing the flurry of bullets, the people of the house also came out and the people around also ran towards the spot.
After shooting the same Deepak Mehta, the criminals fled from the spot. The injured Deepak was immediately taken to the nearest private hospital for treatment by the family members and nearby people, where Deepak Mehta died due to treatment. After receiving the complaint of the incident, the police has also come into action mode. Due to the incident being related to the leader of the ruling party, there has been a ruckus about the incident. Significantly, the cases of increasing crime in Bihar are becoming a problem for Nitish Kumar's government.
