Preparation has been done for the monsoon session of Jharkhand Assembly on September 18. Consultation has been held between CM Hemant Soren and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs for the assembly session. According to sources, the session will be organized for a short period. During this time necessary legislative work will be completed.

After this, the proceedings of the session will be postponed. The date of the session will be determined in the cabinet meeting. A cabinet meeting will be called soon. On the other hand, preparations have been started for the session in the government department. The House Secretariat has also started preparing for it. Cabinet has got approval to put some bill on the assembly table.

According to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam, the session of the assembly was postponed indefinitely on 23 March in view of the coronavirus. Due to coronavirus, the budget session of the assembly was adjourned before March 27. The government is now going to organize the session for a short period of time within the constitutional provision. He said that the matter has been discussed with CM Hemant Soren on 31 August.

Now the proposal related to this will be put in the cabinet. According to the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, calling a session of the Legislative Assembly is also a constitutional compulsion. Organizing two sessions cannot be delayed beyond six months. The maximum difference between the last meeting of one session and the first meeting of another session can be only 6 months.
