There have been many such terrible wars in history, in which millions of people have died. One such war in history began about 65 years ago, which is known as the Vietnam War. Yes, in this war many people lost their lives. The Vietnam War is the name of a fierce battle fought on the soil of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia during the Cold War period. This battle, which lasted for nearly 20 years, started in the year 1955, which ended in 1975. This war was fought between the government of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. It is also known as the 'Second Indian-China War'.

Let us tell you that in this fierce war, there was a North Vietnam army supported by the People's Republic of China and other communist countries, on the other side, the army of South Vietnam fighting shoulder to shoulder with the US and friendly countries. This war became even more terrible when a small country like Laos allowed the army of North Vietnam to fight on its soil. Due to this, America was completely overwhelmed and made an air strike plan to teach her a lesson. The US Air Force dropped so many bombs on Laos, this small country in Southeast Asia, that it is said that the future of Laos is buried under a pile of gunpowder. It is also said that from 1964 to 1973, America had dropped bombs in Laos every eight minutes for the entire nine years. According to a report, the US had spent two million dollars daily (about 15 crore rupees today) only and only to bomb Laos.

However, according to media reports, from 1964 to 1973, the United States fired about 260 million or 26 million cluster bombs on Vietnam, which is 210 million or 21 million more than the total bombs fired over Iraq. According to an estimate, more than 30 lakh people were killed in this fierce war, in which more than 50 thousand US soldiers also joined. Many believe that America was defeated in this war. However, many experts believe that nobody won in this fierce war lasting for 20 years. Because of the war, the American government had to face its own people and international pressure, after which it withdrew from the war.
