Patna: The stall of Priyanka Gupta of Patna, popularly known as Graduate Chaiwali, has been returned by the Municipal Corporation. After meeting Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Priyanka Gupta, a graduate tea seller, got her tea stall. On Thursday, the Patna Municipal Corporation Nagar had picked up Priyanka Gupta's stall and seized it as part of the anti-encroachment drive.
Thereafter, Priyanka Gupta came crying to meet Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Yadav. After meeting Tejashwi Yadav, Priyanka Gupta said that she was assured by the Deputy Commissioner of the corporation and we have also taken the license, Tejashwi Yadav has just said that you write an application in my name and then let's see further.
Now the stall has been returned on the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Priyanka Gupta hails from the Purnia district of Bihar and has graduated in commerce from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth in Varanasi. Even after preparing for a government job, when she could not get a job, Priyanka set up a tea stall. South Indian film superstar Vijay Deverakonda and Bhojpuri film actress Akshara Singh have also reached for tea at Priyanka's shop 'Graduate Chaiwali'. Priyanka got fame, but now Patna Municipal Corporation has taken action against her. Priyanka said that she requested the officers to give her some time so that she could deposit money and take her shop, but still, her stall was removed. They said, 'People say that a graduate tea worker earns three lakh rupees, but I also spend accordingly.' Priyanka said, 'I do not earn three lakh rupees a month because the market has gone down.'
