Srinagar: Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has made a big claim that terrorism in the Valley will be completely destroyed after two years. He said this at the award programme of EEPC India Northern Region Export. Manoj Sinha said many people are worried about law and order but terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir will end in the next two years.

Speaking at the function, Sinha said, "Many people are definitely concerned about law and order. I want to tell you that things have changed a lot now. Some people are still trying to provoke the youth, but we want to assure you that after two years, terrorism will not be seen anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir.'' The Government of India is working in this direction. The security forces are continuously conducting encounter operations to eliminate terrorists in the Valley. Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir CM and PDP supremo Mehbooba Mufti has been put under house arrest till further orders. Mehbooba Mufti had recently attacked the Centre saying that no one knows whether terrorists are being killed in the Valley or not.

Mufti had claimed that three civilians were killed by security forces in an encounter last Monday. She had said that the Army is targeting the common people in the name of militancy. Mehbooba Mufti has questioned the Centre on several occasions over the army's action in Jammu and Kashmir.
