Andhra Pradesh: The total number of cases in the state rose to 20,43,244 with 1171 fresh cases on Thursday, according to the Health Department. The death toll has risen to 14,108 with 11 new deaths in the last twenty-four hours. On Thursday, 1206 new patients were cured, taking the total number of recoveries to 20,17,387 and there are currently 13,749 active cases. As per district-wise data, 255 new cases were reported in East Godavari, followed by Chittoor with 158 cases, Krishna at 147 and Anantapur with the lowest number of cases. Andhra Pradesh conducted 55,251 Covid-19 tests in the last twenty-four hours, taking the total to around 2.80 crore tests across the state.

India recorded 31,923 new coronavirus infections, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 3,35,63,421, while active cases declined to 3,01,640, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday. Which is the lowest in 187 days. The death toll rose to 4,46,050 with 282 fresh deaths, according to the data updated at 8 am.

The ministry said that active cases comprise 0.90 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 97.77 per cent, the highest since March 2020. The active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 7,586 cases in a 24-hour period.
