Whatsapp has now become a 1.5 billion monthly active user across the globe. On Thursday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that nearly 60 billion messages are being sent every day on the instant messaging service Whatsapp every day. 

After the announcement of the fourth quarter results, Zuckerberg said that the Facebook-owned Instagram Story is the most popular in terms of sharing. After this, the second messaging service is Whatsapp.   

According to the TechCrunch report, the number of people using the Instagram "Stories" and the "Stories" feature daily is now 30 million. While only 17.8 million people are using Snapchat.  On February 19, 2014, Facebook acquired WattsAP into $ 19 billion (about 1.21 lakh crore). This was by far the biggest deal by Facebook. Whatsapp is used by more than 200 million people every month in India.   

WhatsApp has rolled out the "WhatsApp Business" app in the country last month to better communication with customers and businesses. This app is for small business people and is available for download at the Play Store.   

About 84 percent of small business people in India believe that WhatsApp is helpful for interacting with customers. And about 80 percent of the businessmen believe that WhatsApp has helped to boost their business.
