Ranchi: Sandeep, who was brought down safely by an Air Force helicopter, said, Baba Baidyanath has given a second life. The way he was hanging in that trolley overnight at a height of 100 feet, the hope of survival was abandoned. This night was the most dangerous night of my life. Thank you for the safe evacuation of Air Force soldiers. However, 15 persons are still stranded on the ropeway even after the rescue operation went on till late evening.

While narrating the dangerous story of the same accident, Sandeep said, suddenly the power of the trolley went off. We were 4 people traveling together, all got stuck in the middle of the road. When I called the helpline number as soon as the cable car stopped, it came to know that there was a technical problem. Called again at 7 o'clock and was told that the ropeway is not working, we will be dropped with the help of chopper the next day i.e. on Monday. Everyone was shocked to hear that the whole night was about to pass by hanging in our air. Devang of Bengal said that the whole night was spent awake.

That same night 48 people were hanging in the air hungry and thirsty. On Monday, NDRF sent food items and water to these persons through drones. The local administration and NDRF had evacuated 11 persons in the night itself. CM Hemant Soren expressed grief over the accident. He said, the rescue and relief work is going on on a war footing. The government is closely monitoring the situation. Health Minister Banna Gupta said, once all the people are rescued, the government will investigate the matter and take action against the culprits.
