Patna: Nearly five years have passed since the prohibition law came into force in Bihar, but there is still a lot of politics about it. Five years ago, people from the ruling party to the opposition raised their voices in support of the law, but now CM Nitish Kumar is being cornered over the same law. Now, cm Nitish Kumar's paraya (opposition) is demanding withdrawal of prohibition law, his (allied) leader is also requesting the CM to withdraw the law.

All the same parties are talking about the failure of this law. on Monday, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav had claimed that he had warned CM Nitish Kumar that it would be very difficult to stop smuggling of liquor from other states during liquor ban in Bihar but he (Nitish) had assured to implement it successfully.

"We said long ago that the difficulties in implementation should be accepted honestly and this step should be withdrawn," says Lalu Prasad, who was in power with RJD, lalu prasad's party in the previous grand alliance government in Bihar. On the other hand, BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur, an ally of JDU, has also appealed to the CM to withdraw the prohibition law.
