New Delhi: Rain showers in the national capital Delhi on Monday have brought relief from the heat. The first rain of the season has brought a smile to the faces of people in the vicinity including Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon. After Monday's rain, Delhi is also likely to receive rain on Tuesday. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, continuous light rain is expected from 16th to 18th July in the national capital and its adjoining areas.

Earlier, private weather forecasting company Skymet also reiterated IMD's forecast that rain is expected in the areas of Delhi NCR from Monday. Mahesh Palavat, vice-president of Skymet Weather, Met E&P, said, "The winds of the Delhi NCR are moving eastwards. We hope that the weather will change and rain will start by evening.
