New Delhi: Sri Harihara Desika Swamigal, the head priest of Madurai Adhanam, who presented 'Sengol' to PM Narendra Modi on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament House, said that the PM should come back to power in 2024 and become the PM of the country. This is the same scepter which was received by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14 August 1947 as a symbol of the transfer of power from the British to India. It will be presented to the PM by the 293rd head priest of the Madurai Adhinam for the inauguration.

In one of his interviews, he said, “Prime Minister Modi is such a leader who has received praise from many countries of the world. He is doing good work for the people. He has to become the Prime Minister again in 2024. He should guide the people. We all are feeling very proud as world leaders are praising our Prime Minister Modi.

"I will meet Prime Minister Modi and present a sengol to him on the occasion of the inauguration of the new parliament building," he said. On the other hand, Wummidi Sudhakar, chairman of Wummidi Bangaru Jewellers, who made the historic scepter, said, "We are the makers of Sengol. It took us a month to make it. It is made of silver. It is gold plated. When it was made, I Was 14. We are grateful to Prime Minister Modi. 'Sengol' will be installed by the Prime Minister near the speaker's podium in the Lok Sabha. The new Parliament House will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on May 28. The program will begin at 12 noon.
