AHMEDABAD: Such a case has come to light from the court of Surat, Gujarat, where the judge sentenced the convict of rape and murder of a five-year-old girl, he was shocked. On hearing the sentence, he threw slippers at the judge in the courtroom. However, this slipper fell near the witness box. After this the culprit was caught and taken out from there. Justice has sentenced this man to life imprisonment.
According to reports, the man, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, raped and murdered a five-year-old girl on April 30. The victim girl was the daughter of a migrant labourer. Finding the girl alone, the convict took her to a deserted place on the pretext of getting chocolates where he raped her and then strangled her to death. Following the incident, an FIR was registered against the person under relevant provisions including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (Pocso) Act at Hazira police station here in Surat.
The Court took into account the statements of 26 witnesses produced by the prosecution. The court also considered 53 documentary evidences before passing the order. After this, on Wednesday, this 27-year-old man was sentenced to life imprisonment in a case of rape and murder of a five-year-old girl. After the sentence was handed down by the court of Special Pocso Judge PS Kala, the convict shuddered and threw his sandal at the judge.
