New Delhi: Along with the release of its 13 series of smartphones, Xiaomi also unveiled MIUI 14. User Interface (UI) Compared to the previous version of MIUI 13, the new one aims to make the system lighter and more fluid.

In addition to on-screen improvements, the new software automatically compresses low-frequency applications, enhances notification management, and saves only one copy of duplicate files.

Richer and more personalized visual experiences are provided by MIUI 14. It has sizable, customizable icons. There are four different sizes of these marks. Icon size can be customized by the users.

To give a more interactive look to the home screen, you can also add several live flower and animal images. MIUI 14 improves system performance. This increases the system's throughput (up to 60%) and enhances the performance of third-party apps under heavy workloads.

Additionally, it improves the power efficiency of products with the Xiaomi and Redmi names. Running third-party apps now consumes up to 22% less power. The UI makes it possible for external developers to access the architecture of the Photon engine.

The privacy features of the device have been improved by MIUI 14. Using end-side privacy technology and addressing more than 30 system scenarios, it provides maximum local computing of sensitive data. Fast and accurate image and text extraction features a next generation user interface.

Plus real-time bilingual subtitles for videoconferencing, recording and translation are more private. MIUI 14 provides faster internet connection.

Additionally, the new high-speed interconnection bus on the user interface speeds up picture transmission by 77%, mobile-TV connections by 12% and earphone discovery by 50% during streaming.

It sends multi-terminal reminders for important information such as security alarms, expiration of consumables, and more.
Automatic display of frequently used categories is another feature of the new user interface.

Family accounts also get an upgrade on MIUI 14. For cloud storage, up to nine people can now share services on a family account. New features include sharing family photo albums and configuring shared screensavers.

From January 2023, Xiaomi smartphones will receive the MIUI 14 update. Xiaomi's 12S Ultra, 12S Pro, 12S, 12 Pro, Dimensity Edition, Standard 12 and MIX FOLD 2 are in the list.

The UI will also be available for several Redmi-branded devices, including the Redmi K50 Pro, K50 Extreme Edition, K50 Gaming Edition, and the vanilla K50.
