London: A widely reported leak of allegedly classified US information contained "a serious level of inaccuracy," according to the British Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday.
To determine the impact on national security and relations with allies and other countries, including Ukraine, the Justice Department and US national security agencies are looking into the release of numerous classified documents.
A Ministry of Defense spokesperson issued a statement on Twitter that read, "The widely reported leak of alleged classified US information has demonstrated a serious level of inaccuracy."

Readers should exercise caution when accepting at face value claims that could lead to the spread of false information.
More than 50 of the "Secret" and "Top Secret" documents that first surfaced on social media in March and purportedly reveal information about Ukrainian military vulnerabilities as well as details about allies like Israel, South Korea, and Turkey have been examined by Reuters.

Reuters has not independently confirmed the veracity of the documents in the leaks, which could be the most damaging disclosure of US government information since the 2013 publication of thousands of documents on WikiLeaks.

According to US officials, some documents outlining Ukrainian battlefield casualty estimates appeared to have been changed to overstate Russian losses.
