New Delhi: Samsung is gearing up for the rumored February 1, 2023 announcement of the Galaxy S23 series. Not much is kept secret for too long with brand new products, as is the custom.
We have been experiencing multiple leaks for some time now. Ahmed Quader, a Twitter user, recently revealed that the S23 series outperforms the previous lineup in terms of performance.
As per rumours, Samsung's S23 series is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that has been slightly overclocked. The improvements are likely due to the new chip that will be powering the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra.

Switching from Samsung's own Exynos chipset to Qualcomm's top-tier processor, on which it previously relied heavily for its S-series models, will improve performance.
As per information provided by Qwaider, the Galaxy S23 line-up will overall perform 36% better than the Galaxy S22 series. The series will also see an improvement in graphics rendering of 48% and an improvement in task completion involving artificial intelligence of 60%.
Due to the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a bit of overclocking, these improvements should be noticeable.

TSMC's 4nm N4P process is used to assemble the customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. As per reports, the chipset uses three effective Cortex-A510 cores clocking at 2.0GHz, three performance-oriented Cortex-A715 cores ticking at 2.8GHz, and one Prime Cortex. -The X3 core is running at 3.3GHz (the two regular ones at 3.2GHz).
Additionally, Samsung's advanced thermal solutions made for the Galaxy S23 series are said to be used. The in-display fingerprint scanner and top-centred punch hole will be available on the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra.
The full-HD+ AMOLED screens on the S23 and S23+ may measure 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch respectively. A 6.8-inch QHD+ display with 2,200-nits peak brightness and 2,200Hz PWM dimming could be available with the S23 Ultra. 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection could be available on all three devices.
Galaxy S23 and S23+ can get 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide sensor and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
200MP ISOCELL HPX main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide camera, 10MP telephoto and folding zoom lens with 3x and 10x zoom respectively, all of which can be found in the S23 Ultra. A 12MP front-facing camera may be available in all the three smartphones.

As mentioned earlier, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will be slightly overclocked in the Galaxy S23 series. The system should include UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM.
The battery on the S23 and S23+ could be 3,900mAh and 4,700mAh, respectively. A 5,000mAh battery can be added to the S23 Ultra. For connectivity, the handset should have Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3.
