Chennai: In-house bike manufacturer Royal Enfield is now preparing to launch the Scrambler 650 with the introduction of the Super Meteor 650 and 2023 iterations of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
In the most recent development, a test mule bike that is almost ready for production has been seen conducting test drives. The upcoming motorbike will be the fourth 650cc model offered by the company.
Given its selection of motorcycles with a retro aesthetic, Royal Enfield has emerged as a force to be reckoned with. The renowned bikemaker from Chennai competes in the 350cc and 650cc segments, and all of its models are well-liked by both customers and critics.

However, the company now has plans to add a scrambler model to its parallel-twin engine-powered range soon. A larger customer base will be attracted by this move.
Future Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 will keep the Hunter 350's design cues. With a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round headlamp unit, a wide handlebar and circular mirrors, a single-piece ribbed-pattern seat, grab rails, an upswept exhaust, and a circular LED taillamp, it will have a retro-scrambler appearance. The motorbike will have wire-spoked wheels and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

The 2023 Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 will have dual-channel ABS for better braking performance and disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels for the rider's safety. Inverted forks at the front and dual shock absorber units at the back are expected to handle the motorcycle's suspension functions.
In terms of performance, the 2023 Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 will be powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin engine that powers the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650 models.

This engine complies with OBD-2 standards. To provide a distinctive riding experience, the mill might be offered in a different tune. A 6-speed gearbox on the bike should handle the transmission work.
The future Scrambler 650 is still in the final stages of development. By the end of 2023, Royal Enfield is anticipated to reveal the motorcycle's pricing and availability information at its official launch event. It'll probably be the brand's least expensive 650cc model.
