New Delhi: After the sudden increase in the cases of corona, the central government has issued special instructions to 8 states. The central government has clearly asked these states to 'take strict steps' to stop the spread of corona. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has given these instructions while writing a letter to Delhi, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Jharkhand on Thursday.

The Health Secretary has instructed these states to increase testing of corona virus, strengthen hospital level preparedness, speed up vaccination and increase coverage. Earlier, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, in a meeting with officials of Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, reviewed the public health measures for prevention and control of corona virus and the vaccination status in these states. The central government told these states that the GRAP model implemented in Delhi is also being considered for implementation across the country.

Let us inform that this warning of the Center has come at a time when 13,154 new corona cases were registered in India in the last 24 hours on Thursday. On Thursday, the cases of Omicron in India increased to 961. The weekly positivity rate in the country is 0.76 percent, which is less than 1 percent for the last 46 days. The daily positivity rate is 1.10 percent, which is less than 2 percent for the last 87 days.
