Bhojpuri singer and Powerstar Pawan Singh is celebrating his birthday today. He closely observed many ups and downs in his life. Pawan was born on 5 January 1986 in Jokhari village of Ara city. He has been singing songs for the last 20 years and has been active as an actor in the Bhojpuri film industry for 15 years.

Pawan Singh was interested in songs since childhood, at the age of just 11, he released his first Bhojpuri album, which was a big hit from Odhiani Wali, after which he released many Bhojpuri albums. Lollipop Laagelu, released in 2008 and his song Jab Lagavelu Jab Lipstick Hila La Ara District was a huge hit and made Pawan Singh a star overnight.

He has also been accused of spreading obscenity and singing a song with double meaning, a song Sania Mirza's Nathunia Jaan Mare La was also in a lot of controversies. On September 10, 2009, while hearing the petition of Prabodhini Foundation, the court ordered the FIR. The petitioner had accused three Bhojpuri singers, including Pawan Singh, of spreading obscenity and tarnishing the image of tennis star Sania Mirza. In 2007, he entered the Bhojpuri film industry under the name of Bhojpuri film Rangali Chunariya Tohra, but in 2009, Pawan Singh came into the limelight with his strong acting in Bhojpuri film Pratigya and the film performed well at the box office, then he received identity as an actor in Bhojpuri world.
