Srinagar: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has planned to extend the branches in the Himalayan lap sand and take it to new heights, from the restoration and restoration of the deserted temples in the Jammu and Kashmir Valley. In New Delhi, top RSS officials have said that many historical hindu temples in the militious Kashmir Valley are deserted and will now be renovated and renovated for Hindu devotees. One such historic kheer Bhawani Devi temple had gathered a huge crowd of Kashmiri Pandits on the occasion of the annual festival last month. On this occasion, Governor Satyapal Malik had instructed the Kashmiri Pandits to make special arrangements to stay at the temple, 25 km from Srinagar.

RSS pracharaks are trying to renovate temples not only in the Valley but also in Jammu. The RSS has written in its annual report (2019) on the restoration of historical temples in the state. Purmandal is a sacred site located on the banks of the river Devika, 40 km from Jammu. Once a study centre in Sanskrit, this place has been neglected for a long time. A trust has been formed to renovate it.
