Story - Sati Mata, daughter of King Daksha of Adi Satyuga is called Shakti. His name became Shakti due to Shiva. Although his real name was Dakshayani. Sati did not tolerate all this and jumped into the Yagya Kunda and sacrificed her life. On hearing this news, Shiva sent his commander Virabhadra, who cut off Daksha's head. After this, Shiva got angry by holding Sati's body on his head and wandering on the earth. During this period, wherever the body parts or ornaments of Sati fell, Shaktipeeths were later built. Where the organ or ornament that fell, got the name of that Shaktipeeth. This does not mean that many Goddesses was born.
