The Supreme Court opened the poll of Kejriwal government by showing the newspaper

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday made a scathing comment on the continuous air pollution in Delhi. The Supreme Court cautioned the Centre and the Delhi government to make any concrete suggestions within 24 hours or it would have to pass the order. A bench headed by Chief Justice (CJI) NV Ramanna of the Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the measures being taken by the Centre and the Delhi government during the hearing on rising air pollution in Delhi. The bench said, "We understand that the pollution level is rising and nothing is happening to deal with it. We think we are wasting our time. '

The Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the attitude of both the Governments and said that we give you 24 hours. We want you to take this issue seriously and make some concrete suggestions. While hearing the case, advocate Vikas Singh said that a task force should be constituted in this regard. The task force should go to the areas where air quality checking is done. Vikas Singh said several other projects including Central Vista should also be monitored. Not only that, they should also strengthen the flying squads so that they seal the factories and also stop work at construction sites where pollution standards are being violated.

Meanwhile, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that steps are being taken by the Delhi government to check pollution in the city. On this, CJI said, 'We believe you to be right when you say that efforts are being made to tackle pollution. You say schools are closed. But the school is not closed. Young children are still going to school. On this, SG said that the school was ordered to be closed for 15 days but they reopened from November 29. On this, CJI said, 'Look at today's newspaper. The children are going to school. Do you want us to appoint someone who monitors the implementation of the rules? The Supreme Court also told the Delhi government that you have nothing but slogans of assurance and popularity. If you want the order, we will order.
