Bhopal: Today is the second phase of vaccination campaign in Madhya Pradesh. The second dose of covishield is being administered today. Long queues are visible at the vaccination centres. Over 4 lakh people in the state have been given a target of applying another dose. In fact, citizens who have injected the first dose of the covishield vaccine will get the second dose today only after 84 days of gap. No one will be administered the first dose today.

As per the information received, only about 32% of the eligible population in the state has received the first dose so far and both the doses have also been detected only 4% of the population. This means that so far 96% of the population is far from complete vaccination. As per the information received, 2,16,02,088 people have been vaccinated in Madhya Pradesh so far. 1,87,83,377 people have received the first dose and 28,18,711 people have received the second dose.

At the same time, 1,08,69,142 citizens between the ages of 18 and 44 and 61,58,112 and above 60 in the age group of 45-60 have been vaccinated. Talking to state immunization officer Dr Santosh Shukla recently, he said, "A person infected with covid can get vaccinated three months after he is negative. On the other hand, if you had put the first dose of the vaccine and turned positive in the middle. Even then, you can get the vaccine done three months after it is negative.''
