'The Taste of India' Milk brand hikes milk price by Rs 2 per litre in Delhi-NCR

Indian Dairy giant Amul has increased the price of milk in the Delhi-NCR region by Rs 2 per liter, closing to Mother Dairy in increasing. With the revised price, 1 litre of toned milk will cost Rs 42 while full cream would be available for Rs 52.

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Cooperation said, that we have increased the price by Rs 2 per litre of all milk variants. As the company's milk procurement cost has gone up because of more charging by the farmers as their input costs have also taken rise. The Milk brand "AMUL" and its associated products are sold by the GCMMF.

Amul's total output in terms of sales is 30 lakh litres of milk per day in Delhi-NCR market. Earlier this month, Amul has also increased the prices of milk in other markets, including Gujarat, Maharashtra and West Bengal. Rival Mother Dairy has also announced the increase in prices of milk by Rs 3 per litre in Delhi-NCR and other cities.

As per the new rates of Mother Dairy milk, full cream milk would cost Rs 52 per litre against Rs 49 , while toned milk is priced at Rs 42 .The price of double toned milk has been raised to Rs 38 from Rs 35 per litre. 

The prices of token milk have also been increased to Rs 38 from Rs 36 per litre. Cow milk will be priced at Rs 42 per litre from Rs 40.
