Raipur: The terror of Naxalites in Chhattisgarh is not showing any signs of stopping. After killing security forces and BJP leaders, the Naxalites have now started targeting the general public as well. According to media reports, suspected Maoists set a private passenger bus on fire in Naxal-affected Dantewada district today. However, there is no information about any passenger casualties in this incident.

While giving information about this, the police officials have said that the Naxalites carried out the incident on Barsoor and Palli Marg under the Malewahi police station area of the district, although they could not succeed in their plan. All the passengers on board have been safely evacuated. The police officer said that, per information, a private passenger bus was going from Narayanpur to Dantewada. When the bus was between Barsoor and Palli village at around 9.30 a.m. on Saturday, Then about 25 Naxalites reached there, put the passengers down, and set the bus on fire.

Police officials have said that the Naxalites fled from there after the incident. As soon as the incident was reported, a police team was dispatched to the scene. Police officials said that all the passengers were safe. They are being taken to their destination. A case has been registered. The naxalites responsible for the incident are being searched.
