Srinagar: The cowardly attacks by terrorists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are not taking the name of stopping. Now the terrorists have shot dead an SPO (Special Police Officer) in Budgam. On Saturday (March 26, 2022), terrorists opened fire on the SPO and his brother in Chattabagh. The brother of the police officer was seriously injured in the firing. The SPO was admitted to the hospital where he died. The brother is undergoing treatment at JVC Hospital in Srinagar.

SPO Ishfiq Ahmad Dar, 26, was posted in Budgam. His brother Omar Ahmed Dar is a student. Security forces have evacuated the area and launched a search operation to locate the perpetrators of the attack. In another incident, a bomb blast has been heard in the Kotranka area of Rajouri. The cause of the blast that took place on Saturday evening is not known. However, there are no reports of any casualty.

Umar, who was injured in the firing of terrorists, is 23 years old. When both of them were attacked, they were at home. He was then admitted to Skims Bemina in Srinagar. Doctors said the SPO had already died. At the same time, the brother's condition is still critical. The police have registered an FIR in the case and started an investigation. Five days ago, Mohammad Amir, a constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police, was martyred in an encounter in the Soura area of Srinagar. Police had received information that three terrorists were roaming in a car and the incident took place during a search operation.
