Today we are going to tell you some facts about the top batsmen who hit the most sixes in an innings of IPL. Chris Gayle has achieved this record 3 times in the list of top-5 batsmen who have done this. 

1. Chris Gayle: In the 5th season of the IPL played in the year 2012, batsman Chris Gayle of Royal Challengers Bangalore played an unbeaten 128 runs innings against Delhi Daredevils at a strike rate of 206.45 off 62 balls. Gayle had hit 13 sixes 7 fours in this innings. Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 215 runs at the loss of 1 wicket in 20 overs thanks to Chris Gayle's innings. In response to which Delhi Daredevils also fought well but could not succeed in achieving the target. In comparison to Bangalore's 215 runs, Delhi's team could only score 194 runs in 9 overs in 20 overs, losing the match by 21 runs.

2. Brandon McCallum: Kolkata Knight Riders opener Brandon McCallum is the first batsman to score a century in IPL history. McCallum played an unbeaten inning of 158 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first season of IPL in 2008, with a strike rate of 216.43 in 73 balls. McCallum had 13 fours and sixes in his innings with 10 fours. Thanks to this historic century innings by McCallum, the Kolkata Knight Riders, batting first, scored a huge score of 222 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who came to chase the target of 223 runs from Kolkata, bowed as soon as they came on the field, scoring only 82 runs in 15.1 overs. In the match, Kolkata had registered a big win of 140 runs over Bangalore.
