With 1125 fresh cases reported on Tuesday, the total number of cases across the state rose to 20,31,974. While in the last 24 hours three people died in Krishna, two in West Godavari, Nellore and Prakasam and one each in East Godavari, Guntur and Nellore districts respectively. With this, the death toll has increased to 14,019. On the other hand, 1356 new patients were cured on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 20,03,543 and there are currently 14,412 active cases. As per district-wise data, 210 new cases have been reported in Chittoor, followed by Nellore with 184, Prakasam 164 while Kurnool district has not reported a single case. Andhra Pradesh conducted 49,568 Covid-19 tests in the last twenty-four hours, taking the total to around 2.74 crore tests across the state.

India on Monday achieved another milestone in its fight against coronavirus infection, the country has crossed the 75 crore mark in vaccinations, a feat the fastest in the world. However, at this rate, India will be able to cover 43 per cent of its population by the end of the year. According to experts, India needs to vaccinate at least 60 of its population to avoid the impending third wave of COVID-19. According to estimates, India needs 12 million doses per day to meet the target.
India on Tuesday reported 30,000 new Covid-19 cases for the third consecutive day. According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country increased to 3,32,89,579. The total death toll from Covid-19 rose to 4,43,213 with 339 daily fatalities in the last 24 hours. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the country has come down to 3,62,207 and now accounts for 1.09% of the total infections.
