Gorakhpur: There is a lot of resentment among the businessmen and entrepreneurs of the district due to lockdown in police station areas of Gorakhpur district Uttar Pradesh. On Tuesday, the Chamber of Industries wrote a letter to the Chief Minister demanding a full 14-day lockdown or opening of the entire market.

The Vice President of the Merchant Welfare Board also held a virtual meeting with businessmen and object to a problem regarding the ban imposed by the administration. The Chamber of Industries President Vishnu Ajit Sariya has written a letter to the Chief Minister on Tuesday, saying the ban imposed by the administration is wrong. He has written in the letter "For the past four weeks in Gorakhpur, lockdown is being imposed in some police station areas to curb corona."

"But there is no meaningful result of this. The figure of the infected people is also increasing. The businessmen and traders are very upset. Cannot produce and sell goods. It has become difficult to pay electricity bills, bank interest and the salary of employees. There is a feeling of dissatisfaction among the traders due to lockdown in some areas and keeping other things open". He demanded that a full 14-day lockdown should be imposed in all police stations to be protected against COVID-19, or that all police stations be relieved of lockdown. Now everyone eagerly awaiting the reply of the Chief Minister.
