The TS government will distribute 113 crores to the families of the flood victims

During this festive season, the Telangana state government is excited by the flood victims amid the corona crisis and flood losses. On Saturday, the state government distributed Rs 113 crore to 1.13 lakh families in ghmc and adjoining municipalities. The city has been provided financial assistance of Rs.10,000 per household to families suffering from heavy rains and flash floods. The distribution drive will resume after the Dussehra holidays to cover the affected families who cannot reach by Saturday.

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed the authorities to distribute this amount before the Dussehra festival. A team of officials led by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has taken up the task of providing a maximum financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the flood affected families. In addition to the Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration Satyanarayana, Hyderabad District Collector Shweta Mohanty worked closely in this regard.

In all, 780 teams have been formed to visit each house in person. In addition, they distribute cash using a mobile based application and take receipts from beneficiaries. Around 70,000 families were covered till 9 p.m. and the amount was distributed in the remaining households till midnight on Saturday. Somesh Kumar thanked all the officials, GHMC, revenue and other departments for their efforts to provide financial assistance to the families in distress.
