New Delhi: The upcoming POCO F5 mid-range smartphone is getting ready to be released in India. The device is expected to arrive on April 6 according to the most recent tip from 91mobiles. It is rumoured to be a rebranded variant of the forthcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which will reportedly include the recently unveiled Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.

One of India's top-grossing online smartphone brands is POCO. Due to its aggressive pricing, the feature-rich POCO F4, which became available last year, was well received in the nation's mid-range market.

The POCO F5's successor is anticipated to be welcomed with a similar attitude. It will compete with the recently released Samsung Galaxy A34 and iQOO Neo 7.

Thin bezels, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a punch-hole cut-out in the top centre are all likely to appear on the POCO F5. We can see a triple camera setup on the back.

The device is anticipated to feature a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with 1,400 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ certification, and 1,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. At least two colorways should be available.

According to reports, the POCO F5 will have a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and an LED flash. A 16MP front-facing camera is anticipated for selfies and video calls.

A Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage could be found inside the POCO F5. The phone will probably boot the MIUI skin based on Android 13. A 5,500mAh battery with 67W wired and 30W wireless fast-charging support is anticipated to be found under the bonnet. Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a Type-C port are requirements for 5G phones.

The POCO F5's price and availability information will be made public at the time of its launch, which is anticipated to take place on April 6. For reference, the base 6GB/128GB configuration of the POCO F4 was released in India for Rs. 27,999.
