New Delhi: Two police personnel lost their lives in Delhi in the last 24 hours. The first death due to corona was that of Sub Inspector Ankit Chaudhary posted in Bharat Nagar. The second death was that of Assistant Sub Inspector Suresh. Ankit Chaudhary, 28, was 28 years old and tested covid positive on the 18th. After which he was admitted to the Palliative Hospital in Ghaziabad. But they lost the battle while fighting covid at around 7 am on Friday. Ankit is said to have desperately needed plasma. Sub-inspector and constable of Delhi Police rushed to ILBS Hospital in Vasant Kunj for plasma. But the hospital staked out the rules before saving anyone's life. Not getting plasma on time led to Ankit's death.

A video before Ankit Chaudhary's death has gone viral in which he is unable to speak and writing down the need for plasma and expressing his anguish, but Ankit could not get plasma in time. Ankit Chaudhary was recruited as a sub-inspector in 2015. Garhazir had been posted at Bharat Nagar police station since 2019. Meanwhile, his posting was made at Ashok Vihar police station. The native village of Uttar Pradesh in Shamli. There is a wife and a 2-year-old daughter in the house.
