Dehradun: Suspecting illicit relations in Uttarakhand's Kaladhungi, the husband called his wife to Luniya Khatta on Tuesday night for a conversation, as a strategy, and after a dispute there, strangled her with a dupatta. Kaladhungi police arrested the criminal husband and produced him in the court on Wednesday from where he was sent to jail. In fact, the body of Aamna (18) daughter Rustam Ali, a resident of Lunia Khatta forest area present in Ballapada, was found about 30 meters from the house on Wednesday. On Tahrir, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. In this incident, the police registered a case on the complaint of Aamna's grandfather Ghulam Navi. Disclosing the incident late on Wednesday evening, SP Crime Jagdish Chandra said that after the body was found in the Lunia Khatta forest area, the primary investigation of the police revealed that Aamna was strangled to death.
After investigation, the police took Aamna's husband Riyasat Ali into custody. The criminal told the police that a year and a half ago he was married to Aamna, the daughter of his maternal uncle, but due to not being a cowherd, both lived separately. He had come here 6 months ago to collect paddy straw. Due to this he came to know that Aamna is having an affair with her uncle's son. One day he even caught both of them red handed. That's why he hated his wife. On the same Tuesday night, he sent Aamna a WhatsApp message from his phone and called outside for discussion. When the wife came, he asked her about the affair going on elsewhere. On this she started fighting with him. In a fit of rage, he killed her by slitting her throat with his wife's dupatta. After death, he picked up the dead body and placed it near the pile of parasol kept behind the house. After completing the case, he went to his bed and slept.
After a while, around 1 o'clock, Aamna's mother came and started saying that something has happened to Aamna. After committing the same murder, along with his maternal uncle Hanif and maternal uncle, went to the criminal princely state of Paral to see the dead body of his wife. Meanwhile, he does not let anyone realize that he has killed his wife. He deleted the chatting with Aamna. After confessing the crime, the police arrested the culprit and presented him before the court. The court took him into judicial custody and sent him to jail. SHO Rajveer Singh said that after the murder, the princely state had deleted the messages from his and his wife's phone. He was stunned when asked about this. When the police showed strictness, the criminal broke down in no time. Thus the murder was exposed. Sub-Inspector Virender Singh Bisht, Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar, Lakhwinder Singh Chandraprakash, Jagdish Pandey were with him in solving the murder mystery. SSP Pankaj Bhatt has announced a reward of Rs 5000 for the police team.
