Construction work of the country's first National Paragliding School in Beed Billing Valley of Kangra can start from Thursday 19 March. Along with this, the Paragliding School, to be built from one crore rupees, was announced by former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at the request of the then Minister Sudhir Sharma during the first World Cup in 2015. For this, the Central Government has released the amount.

The country may begin construction of the first school building five years after the announcement. First in five years, the tourism department was not getting a suitable place. After this, the land was given by the Beed Panchayat, due to the formalities of the Forest Department, the construction work was suspended. In 2019, the central government approved the amount for this.

Paragliding trainees from abroad will be taught paragliding skills from experienced instructors in this school to be built on about 15 kanals of land in Beed. Government of India will issue certificates to the pilots who have completed the training. With this, the school will also add a new achievement in the tourism sector with the increase in brightness in the valley. With this, District Tourism Officer Sunayna Sharma said that the construction work of the school building can be started this week.
