With the help of Kolkata police, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UP ATS) arrested three people from Agra in connection with the plunder and murder of a gold trader in Kolkata. The accused, Karan Verma (27), Sushil Kumar (28), and Roop Kishore (35), all from Uttar Pradesh, had gold worth Rs 2.8 crore in their possession.

The accused were detained at an Agra bus stop. "On February 27, gold merchant Dilip Kumar Gupta (61), was discovered dead at his business facility on Shibtala Street in Kolkata. "The whereabouts of the accused was located in UP with the help of electronic surveillance," said Prashant Kumar, assistant director general, law and order.

"We heard from the Kolkata police that one of Dilip's employees, Anuj, was a suspect," says the statement. After being apprehended, he spilled the beans. "He informed cops he hired three men from UP for the robbery," said Alok Kumar Singh, assistant superintendent of police, ATS. "ATS teams kept a close eye on all of the state's major entry and departure points. The suspects were arrested at a bus stop," he added.
