Dehradun: The rise in prices of vegetables during the wedding season has come down due to the fall in the muhurat. The cheaper vegetables have brought relief to the public. Even then, the peas are still Rs.120. Capsicum and cabbage are also being sold at Rs 60 per kg. There are record marriages from November 30 to December 13. Meanwhile, prices of vegetables are expected to go up. Most of the vegetables in Haridwar urban areas come from the districts of Rural and Western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi Azad Nagar Mandi. Vegetables become cheaper in winter in general. This time from the second fortnight of November, record marriages took place in Sahlag. Shahnai echoed in every street since the Corona epidemic. This led to skyrocketing prices of vegetables.

According to Kanakhal resident Mamta Saini, the kitchen budget was spoiled due to expensive vegetables. The vegetables to be purchased in kg had to be taken full of bread and worked. Instead of vegetables, pulses had to be used. Now, there is some relief. Vegetable vendor Ashok Kumar from Jwalapur points out that the wedding muhurats are low in the last week of November. This has reduced the price of vegetables.
