New Delhi: The national capital Delhi and UP are eagerly awaiting the monsoon. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest monsoon will once again be active from June 26 and will reach northwest India with the addition of remaining parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. According to the met department's forecast, the monsoon is likely to cover all parts of the country from June 30 to July 6.

The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 24.3 degrees Celsius today (Saturday), June 25, which is 4 degrees Celsius below normal, the IMD reported. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the movement of clouds in Delhi. For the next two days, the maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to remain around 40 degrees Celsius.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, delhi is witnessing a slight rise in the maximum temperature due to dry and hot westerly winds amidst clear skies. However, the temperature is likely to drop from June 27 due to thunderstorms and light rain. The IMD, in its forecast, said delhi is likely to receive drizzle with thunderstorms on June 27 while there is a possibility of continuous rain for 4 consecutive days from June 28. Due to this, the minimum temperature is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to be close to 35 degrees. On July 1, the minimum temperature in Delhi is likely to fall to 24 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature to 31 degrees Celsius.
