There will be no traffic in Charminar from today: Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar

A traffic free and pedestrian friendly "Sunday Funday" program "Ek Sham Charminar Ke Naam" will be organized at the historic Charminar in Hyderabad from today. It will also be done to spread awareness on various issues of public importance. Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said “With the success of the Sunday Funday event on Upper Tank Bund Road in Hyderabad that has been taking place for the past eight weeks, we realized that the iconic Charminar location is also another place that can be used for similar entertainment, fun and entertainment. Can be done for fun and interaction.
 
We look forward to a successful program in Charminar,” he said. The program will be inaugurated with the performance of Hyderabad Police Band. The Commissioner of Police said, “Police department is also actively participating in it, the event was inaugurated by Hyderabad Police. Band which is quite popular and later it will be used for various police initiatives which are citizen centric."
 
It is to be noted that as per the suggestion of Minister K Taraka Rama Rao, the police had restricted the movement of traffic on the tank dam for five hours every Sunday evening between 5 pm and 10 pm on 29 August, so that people can travel from Hussainsagar. Take a walk and enjoy the surrounding environment. Hyderabad Commissioner Anjani Kumar said that by providing parking for tank dam visitors at both ends of the tank dam. Regular traffic was diverted through the Necklace Road and Lower Tank Dam at Sailing Club and Ambedkar Statue.
