No lockdown and night curfew to be imposed in this state, health minister announces

The corona epidemic has created havoc all over the world and the number of corona infections is increasing rapidly across the country. Daily scare cases of corona are coming to light. In view of this, lockdown and night curfew has been declared in several states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab. While several state governments have imposed lockdown and night curfew in their respective states as a precautionary measure, there is no possibility of lockdown and night curfew in Assam at present.

Assam Health Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma have rejected the estimates of lockdown and night curfew in the state. He said lockdown and night curfew are not going to be imposed in Assam at present. Health Minister Himanta Biswa urged the public to get their corona checked if they feel any kind of corona symptoms. They don't need to panic at all. Yes, however, we should be careful.

Further, Sarma said that we have a target of conducting at least 1 lakh corona tests in the next 7 days so that Bihu can be celebrated with fanfare. We will also release SOP for the Bihu festival, he added. Meanwhile, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal took the first dose of corona vaccine at a medical college and hospital in Guwahati on April 8. Along with vaccination, he also urged the public to get the vaccination done.
