Mumbai: There has been an uproar across the country after the announcement of the recent military recruitment scheme Agnipath by the Central Government. In many states of the country, there is a protest against this scheme for the past few days. In many cases, the protests turned violent and other government properties including the railways were also damaged. Meanwhile, many big corporate houses and veteran industrialists of the country have come out in support of this scheme of the central government. A new name has been added to this list of Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekharan. He not only praised this scheme, but also said that Tata group companies will give priority to Agniveers in the job after 4 years of service.

Tata companies will give jobs to Agniveers:-

Before the chairman of Tata Sons, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsha Goenka, Biocon Limited Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (Biocon Ltd Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw) Industrialists like Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Group have supported the Agneepath scheme. Chandrasekaran said in a statement, “The Agneepath scheme is not only a great opportunity for the youth to serve in the armed forces of the country, but it will also provide highly disciplined and trained youth to the entire industry including the Tata Group.” We at the Tata Group are aware of the capabilities of all Agniveers and welcome them to be given opportunities in this regard.

Earlier, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra had expressed grief over the violent incidents happening in the country regarding the Agneepath scheme. He had said, 'I am saddened and disappointed by the kind of violence that is taking place after the announcement of the Agneepath scheme. Last year, when the scheme was being considered, I had said that the discipline and skill that Agniveers would get would make them significantly employable. Mahindra Group will give such trained and capable youth an opportunity to recruit (job) with us. Goenka also expressed a similar opinion by sharing Anand Mahindra's tweet. He also announced to give job opportunities to Agniveers in his group companies. Later Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Sangeeta Reddy also supported this new scheme of military recruitment. He also said that this scheme is going to make the youth disciplined and more employable. Let us tell you that the Agneepath scheme was announced on June 14.
