The automobile industry is abuzz with several new car launches set to happen globally. The Indian market is no exception, with a slew of new vehicles ready to make their debut next month. Among the highly anticipated releases are models from Mercedes, BMW, and Mini. Here’s a rundown of these upcoming cars, including their launch dates and key features.
Mercedes EQA (Mercedes EQA)
Car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch its electric SUV, the EQA, in India this July. Scheduled for an 8th July release, this luxury electric car marks the brand's fourth electric offering in the country, following the EQS, EQE SUV, and EQB models.
The Mercedes EQA is expected to come with two battery pack options. One variant will feature a 66.5 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 528 kilometers on a single charge. Another variant may come with a 70.5 kWh battery pack, providing a slightly higher range of 560 kilometers.
BMW 5 Series LWB (BMW 5 Series LWB)
The BMW 5 Series LWB is also set to make its entry into the Indian market in July, with its launch scheduled for the 24th. Bookings for this new 5 Series model began on June 22nd. The car boasts a panoramic sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels, ensuring a luxurious and comfortable experience.
2024 Mini Countryman
Another exciting launch is the new generation electric Mini Countryman, which will also hit the Indian market on July 24th. Compared to its predecessor, the new model is slightly larger, with a length of 4,433 mm. The Mini Countryman features an OLED display and an interior crafted from recycled materials and textiles.
Equipped with twin motors and a 66.45 kWh battery pack, the 2024 Mini Countryman offers a range of 433 kilometers on a single charge. While the current model is priced around ₹50 lakhs, the new generation is expected to be priced around ₹60 lakhs.
Mini Cooper S (Mini Cooper S)
Alongside the 2024 Mini Countryman, the Mini Cooper S will also be launched on July 24th. This model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, delivering 201 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. The Mini Cooper S can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and is expected to feature a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
