Bhopal: On the eve of Republic Day, the Government of India on Tuesday announced the Padma awards. Among them, Padma awards will be given to five personalities from MP including Dr NP Mishra from Bhopal. Along with Dr Mishra, Durgabai Vyam of Bhopal, Arjun Singh Dhurve of Dindori, Ramsahai Pandey of Sagar, Avadh Kishore Jadia of Chhatarpur will be honoured with Padma Shri.
 
Dr N.P. Mishra (Posthumously), Medicine:- Took the lead for the treatment of patients in the wake of the Bhopal gas tragedy. More than 10,000 patients were treated.

Durgabai Vyam (Art):- Originally from Dindori district. Came to Bhopal in 1996 and settled here. The rituals of the village were engraved on paper.

Arjun Singh Dhurve (Arts): Dhurve, the first post-graduate of the Baiga tribe society, was also a headteacher. Baiga performed all over India in the masks of peacocks, elephants, horses etc. in the Pardhouni dance.

Avadh Kishore Jadia (Education and Literature): He is a doctor by profession. On the prescription, on one side, medicine and on the other hand, write poems. Five books have been published.

Ramsahai Pandey (Art):- Started Rai dance at the age of 12. Girls from ordinary homes are also learning Rai now. He gave his presentation in many countries.
