Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated  Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 4 wickets on their  last match in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 edition. RCB ended their campaign on a high and won 5 out of their last 8 encounters (including an abandoned match). However RCB skipper Kohli was all praise for the crowds who have kept coming in large numbers to support the unit irrespective of the results.

Talking about the match, SRH were asked to bat first and posted a healthy 175 for 7. In reply, Kohli, de Villiers, and Parthiv Patel fell early but it was Shimron Hetymer and Gurkeerat Singh Mann's 144-run stand for the fourth wicket which led RCB to end the season on a positive note. Now, Hyderabad will now look forward to the Mumbai Indians-Kolkata Knight Riders clash and hope for the former's win to enter the playoffs of the tournament.
