Thieves touch elderly couple's feet after looting, promise to return money within 6 month

Uttar Pradesh: A strange case of robbery has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad.  The thieves in this area initially used weapons to rob an elderly couple. After that, they apologized by touching the couple's feet and promised to return their money and jewelry in six months.

Surendra Verma, an old businessman, and his wife Aruna Verma live in Rajnagar, Ghaziabad, according to the police. Verma has three married daughters who live in different countries. He formerly owned and operated a plant in Bulandshahr, which he subsequently closed. There is also a kothi of former Mayor Ashu Verma near his kothi.

The couple had been sleeping on Monday night, according to the police. Four masked armed robbers entered his kothi at 3.30 p.m. They used a gas cutter to break the iron front gate and then broke the glass to obtain entry to the home. Surendra Verma and his wife were then kidnapped by the thieves. One of the thieves was armed with a handgun, while the others were armed with knives. The couple was held at gunpoint by two of them, while the other two began searching the residence. They smashed the cabinet and stole Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and around Rs 4 lakh in jewelry.

The robbers apologized by caressing the elderly couple's feet as they walked away. They said that they are forced to do this and will return their money and jewellery to them after 6 months. They also gave Rs 500 to the elderly couple while leaving and said that they would come to meet them soon.
