In this case, GRP Chandigarh has started investigating the matter by registering the case and the victim passenger Geeta, who is coming from Gwalior to Chandigarh after boarding the train, said, "As soon as the train stopped at Delhi railway station, four young men dressed in TT's clothes entered. As soon as the train left Delhi, the four youth started checking tickets in different coaches".

Looters have taken away goods worth lakhs of rupees, mobile phones, jewelry, etc. With this, he told that when the train reached the Chandigarh railway station at 7:30 Am on Friday morning, five passengers lodged the report of the theft at the GRP police station in Chandigarh, which includes them. In this case, Geeta says, "About 40 passengers have been looted in the train." According to the report lodged at the Chandigarh GRP police station, Shreya Aishwarya's mobile phone, ATM card and seven thousand rupees cash have been looted.
