Kochi: The third death from Coronavirus has been recorded in Kerala. The 71-year-old resident of Mahe area of Puducherry died of coronavirus at a hospital in Kannur. On giving information, the Kerala Health Department said that the condition of the elderly was very serious and his kidney was also not working. He was on ventilator for the last few days.

The first death case from Corona in Kerala was reported on 28 March. The 69-year-old man died in Kochi Medical College. Earlier on Friday, seven new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Kerala. Two of them belong to the Tabligi Jamaat. The total corona infects in the state are 364. Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja has said that 124 people in the state have been free of infection after treatment so far.

These include 27 people who recovered on Friday. The press release states that three out of the seven people infected are of Kasargod heavily affected by the coronavirus. Two Kannur and two are from Malappuram district. Two people who have been found infected in Malappuram had attended a religious conference of Tabligi Jamaat in Delhi. Five people have been exposed to the virus through contact and two of them are from Kannur and three from Kasaragod.
