New Delhi: The Indian Medical Association, India's largest medical body, has urged the Central and state governments not to relax amid a warning of the third wave of the corona. At the same time, ima said that it is frustrating to see the way people and authorities have reduced precautions in many parts of the country.

The IMA warned that recently the country came out of the devastating second wave due to the efforts of the modern medical fraternity and political leadership. IMA said "Looking at the history of evidence and pandemics around the world, the third wave is near. However, it is said that in many parts of the country, governments and people are being lax and gathering in large numbers without following corona rules.''

At the same time, IMA said, "Tourist arrivals, pilgrimages, religious fervor are essential but a few more months can be waited for. Allowing them and allowing people to join this crowd without getting vaccinated can contribute greatly to the third wave of the corona.'' IMA's statement comes amid talk of the commencement of the annual Rath Yatra at Puri in Odisha and the approval of the Kanwar Yatra in UP and Uttarakhand. The IMA has requested all states to stop the rush of persons. The fortnight-long yatra will begin from the month of Shravan (about July 2) and till the first week of August in which crores of Kanwadis from UP, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh gather in Haridwar to take holy water of Ganga.
