Ritvik Arora, who is seen in the role of Kunal in Star Plus's famous show 'Yeh Rishta Hai Pyar Ke', is no longer part of the serial. Recently, the producer of the serial, Rajan Shahi, revealed that he was looking for another actor to replace Ritvik in the show. Although producer Rajan Shahi stated that actor Ritvik is no longer part of 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke', the actor claimed that he was not able to resume shooting in view of the growing crisis of corona cases.

But, a media report has said that the makers of Yeh Rishta Hai Pyar Ke have found a replacement for Ritvik. According to the report, actor Avinash Mishra, who is known for serials like Ishqbaaz, Mariam Khan - Reporting Live will replace Ritvik. Avinash is ready to take Ritvik's place in 'Yeh Rishta Hai Pyar Ke' show. Avinash can now be seen in the role of Kunal in the serial. A source close to the serial has told media that several stars like Rohit Purohit and Abhishek Malik were approached to play the role in the serial. But the makers have chosen Avinash for this role. However, neither Avinash nor the makers have confirmed this yet.

Due to Ritvik Arora's unprofessional behaviour, producer Rajan Shahi also said that such behaviour will not be tolerated, and he has no problem in replacing any actor in the serial of such behaviour. Shaheer Sheikh (Abir), Riya Sharma (Mishti), and Kaveri Priyam (Kuhu) are also in the lead roles in this show.
