Apple recently launched its new smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 10. It comes with several updates over the Series 9. If you are wondering whether you should upgrade or which model to choose, here are the main differences between the two smartwatches.

Design: The Apple Watch Series 10 has a different and improved design than the Series 9. It is about 10% thinner than the Series 9, measuring just 9.7mm thick, up from 10.7mm in the previous model. The slimmer design makes it more comfortable to wear and reduces the chances of it getting tangled in clothes. The Series 10 has more rounded corners and a larger display, with case sizes increased to 42mm and 46mm (the Series 9 had 41mm and 45mm). Also, the aluminum model is 10% lighter than the Series 9.

Display: The Series 10 features a wide-angle OLED display that offers 40% more brightness than the Series 9. The display has 30% more active screen area and is 9% larger than the Series 9, making it easier to read even in varying lighting conditions.

Chip: Both smartwatches have custom Apple Silicon, but the Series 10 introduces the new S10 SiP (System in Package). This chip is designed for better efficiency and intelligence. It has a 4-core neural engine that enables features like double tap gestures, on-device Siri, and automatic workout detection.

Features: The Series 10 and Series 9 have many similar features, such as heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood oxygen measurement, temperature monitoring, cycle tracking, fall detection, and crash detection. Both also have smart features such as on-device Siri, Family Setup, Emergency SOS, international emergency calling, noise control, and Apple Pay. However, the Series 10 has some hardware-specific improvements.

Battery: Both smartwatches have a battery life of 18 hours. But the Series 10 has a new feature of fast charging. It charges from 0 to 80 percent in 30 minutes, which is 15 minutes faster than the Series 9.

Price: The Apple Watch Series 10 is priced at Rs 44,900. The Series 9 was also launched at the same price, but now it can be purchased with many discount offers. Both smartwatches are equipped with great features, but the new series has some additional features that make it different from the Series 9.
